Jay AnglinJay Anglin
Guest Speaker

Jay Anglin has been an avid outdoorsman his entire life. He is equally capable in the field with any type of fishing rod, shotgun, rifle or bow. A native of Wabash, Indiana, he spent his youth along the banks of the Wabash River. After his family moved to the shore of Lake Tippecanoe in Northern Indiana his fishing addiction was easier to deal with, out the back door and on other area lakes including Wawasee, The Barbee Chain, and Webster among others.

He has been fly fishing and tying flies for over 30 years. He is well versed in all aspects of fly fishing and conventional tackle techniques and can found on the water year round fishing for trout, steelhead, salmon, bass, musky and catfish as an angler and as a guide for his company Anglin Outdoors.

When not fishing, Jay can found ethically pursuing turkey, deer, waterfowl and upland game. An avid hunter, Jay spends countless days in the field honing his woodsmanship and guiding others.

He holds a biology degree from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. His scientific approach to guiding is built upon his lifelong love for nature and his experience in the field. Jay has fished all over North and Central America and guides anglers on the rivers and lakes of Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan.

Jay writes a weekly column for the La Porte Herald Argus called "Jay Anglin Outdoors". He is a Simms Guide Ambassador and a proud member of the Ross Reels Pro Staff as well as a member and volunteer for Ducks Unlimited and Trout Unlimited. He lives in LaPorte, Indiana with his wife Angie, their five children Lauren, Mitch, RJ, Elizabeth, Susan and his Black Lab "Deuce".

Jay will be discussing turkey hunting techniques during his seminar.
